Keith is survived by his devoted wife of 20 years, Lei Buchanan, and his cherished children: Misty Hayden (Shane), Kim Hudson (Mike), James Dietel (Kristen), and Daniel Dietel. He was a proud grandfather to Spencer Hayden, Cooper Thorpe, Addie Thorpe, Olivia Dietel, and Jacob Dietel.
He owned Buchanan's Grocery where he spent most of his adult life. Buchanan’s was known for feeding deer hunters breakfast every season and all of the local farmers year around. He also served in the National Guard Armory in his younger years.
A passionate outdoorsman, Keith loved hunting and fishing, often finding solace in nature. He was also an enthusiastic cook, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations, including his famously unique chocolate cornbread. Known for his inventive spirit, he had a knack for coming up with clever solutions and ideas that brought joy to those around him.
Keith will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and unwavering love for his family. He was always caring and supportive of his friends. If he knew a friend was ill or needed help, he was always there to check in with them and be there to do what he could to help. His legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and he will be greatly missed.
Family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am on Monday, September 30 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 10:00am followed by a burial in Memorial Gardens.
