

Larry H. Cole passed away peacefully on April 22, 2026.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jaunita Cole (2011); brothers Bill, Bob, and Ralph; sister Martha; and grandson Patrick Cole (2018). Larry and Jaunita shared a life full of love, partnership, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his son, Danny R. Cole and wife Patricia W. Cole of Somerville, Tennessee; grandson James Cole and wife Julie Cole of Whiteville, Tennessee, along with great-grandchildren Jack and Josie; daughter Annita Yewell and husband Keith Yewell of Bartlett, Tennessee; granddaughter Katie Gonyaw and husband Aaron Gonyaw; and last surviving sibling, his sister, Voncyle Hickman. He is also lovingly remembered by extended family and dear friends.
Larry proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran during World War II. Following his military service, he built a respected career as a Mercury Marine Master Technician and entrepreneur. He owned and operated several small businesses throughout his life, including Larry’s Marine, which he ran until 1993, when he retired to enjoy life with his loving wife, Jaunita. He was known for his dedication, skill, and ability to fix just about anything.
Larry found great joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially traveling the open road with his wife. Together, they enjoyed visits to the hills of Gatlinburg, Tennessee, creating lasting memories along the way. He was also passionate about motorcycles and a proud member of the Gold Wing Chapter E Memphis Gold Wing Club, riding well into his 80s.
Larry will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His life was defined by love for his family, commitment to his work, dry humor, and quiet strength. His legacy will live on in all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Lakeland Hall, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, US, on April 26, 2026, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
The Service will take place at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Lakeland Hall, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133, US, on April 26, 2026, at 2:00 pm,
followed by the graveside service at 3:00 pm.
A Gathering of Family and Friends for food and fellowship will follow at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Arlington Suite, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN, on April 26, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm.
