Lee truly loved cars, food, and a good story. In his life he was a boxer, a drag car and sprint car racer, a mechanic, successfully sold Snap-On Tools, and worked in a grocery store where he learned how to pick the best fruits. But of all of those, working on the railroad was his favorite. He enjoyed Auburn football and eating adventurous foods. He loved his family, who called him “Poppa,” and he loved to tell them jokes and give advice.
Lee passed away on Good Friday, April 15, 2022 after a battle with cancer and many arduous years of dialysis. As he approached the end of his life he did so without fear but with bravery and a tender heart. “Go rest high on that mountain… your time on earth is done.”
“Big Lee” leaves his wife Iris Jane, his children Lee Jr, Mike, and Melissa (Andy) Clayton, his grandchildren Mallory (Andrew) Parks and Lee Brewer III, and his great grandchildren James, Harrison and Katherine Jane Parks. His family loves him.
