She was born to the late William Cook and Jamima Perdue on January 13th, 1943 in Uneeda, West Virginia. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charles Jackson Thorn; and her brothers, Charlie Jarrell, Bill Perdue, Terry Perdue, and Philip Perdue.
Linda met Jack, the love of her life, in Ohio in 1962. After their move to the Bartlett/Memphis area in 1976, they enjoyed many years at Spring Lake and made life-long friends.
Having worked at FedEx for 25 years, one of Linda’s favorite things was volunteering at the FedEx St. Jude golf Classic every year. She always lived life to the fullest and was the life of any party. Her greatest love was her family and she will be greatly missed by all. Memories of her sweet and sassy personality will never be forgotten.
Linda is survived by her daughters, Sandi Waller (Jeff), Candi Wright (Ken); grandchildren, J.C. Waller, Jeremy Waller, Chris Waller, Britton Hibbard, Kellon Hibbard, Taylor Wright, Coleman Wright, Carson Wright; her great grandson, Beau Hibbard; and her sister, Rosemary Morgan.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
Family will receive friends from 9:00am to 10:00am on Saturday, December 11th at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Bartlett, TN. Services will follow at 10:00am. A reception will be from 11:00am to 1:00pm following the services.
