Mary Viola Wick

Mary was born on June 25, 1936 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Joseph and Lillian (Feilbach) Steger. She was a graduate of Messmer High School in Milwaukee and earned her BS and MS degrees in Nursing from Marquette University, Milwaukee. Her career spanned various roles as a hospital nurse, visiting nurse, teacher and in utilization review.

Mary is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Gerald H. Wick, by her children Gerald, Jennifer (Kreg) Treece and Julia Heerding, by grandchildren Rachel Brewer, Megan (TJ) Sallee, Kyle (Brittney) Treece and Grace Heerding, and four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Joseph Steger of Muskego, Wisconsin and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Susan (Steger) Koverman.

Mary loved her family first and foremost. She was a voracious reader, enjoyed sewing and knitting, and was always happy to watch almost any sport. She will be remembered for her compassionate nursing career, her dedication to her husband and her love of family.
