Mildred Nord Palmer, of Memphis, Tennessee died Sunday, May 8th, 2011 in Hot Springs, Arkansas, at the age of 85. Born in Sanborn, Minnesota, February 23 1926, to Claus and Esther Nord, Mildred was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mildred was a devout Christian and a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Memphis, Tennessee prior to moving to Hot Springs, Arkansas in 1989, where she was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. She loved gospel music and traveling, but most important she cherished the time with her family and friends. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her very much. Mildred is survived by her daughter Sharon, her grandchildren Jason Sholtz, Janae Sholtz Scroggs, Jeff Sholtz, Amanda Tyson Mitchell & Scott Tyson; and great grandchildren, Samuel, Carole Ann, Julien; along with the five Gideon Girls, Jean Marie, Cindy, Debbie, Cathy and Michelle. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 21st, 2011 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N.
