Nancy C. Pope

Nancy C. Pope, 86, of Bartlett, passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aubrey G. Pope, step-sister, Reba Riley, parents, C.C. “Salty” Wood, Irene Wood and step-mother Nell T. Wood, and a great-grandson, Merrick Siler. Mrs. Pope is survived by her son, Lyons (Kay) Pope, daughter Linda Lesslie and her fiancé Donald Cox, and three grandchildren, Linda Y. Pope, Freya R. Pope, and Nick Cox. Mrs. Pope was not only a member at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, but also a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, July 7 from 5-8 p.m. at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 3700 Thomas St., Memphis, TN 38127. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, July 8 at 10 a.m. also at the church. The burial will follow mass in Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Bartlett, TN 38133.
