Norma Brown Northam, 92, of Bartlett, TN, passed away on November 30, 2019. She worked for The Navy Exchange, Raleigh Utility District and D.D. Freeland Construction Company. Norma was very involved in many clubs including; past vice president of the Bertha Hamilton Club, former member of the Tessland Garden Club, former member of B.P.W. (Raleigh), Hettie McEwen Tent D.U.V., River City D.A.R, several Bridge Groups, Memphis Scottish Society, Memphians for America, A.A.R.P., Frayser-Raleigh Senior Center, Officers Wives Club, and Camp Followers, National Soujouners Inc. She was also a longtime member of Raleigh Christian Church (New Hope Christian Church) where she was active in the New Hope Senior Saints and New Hope Maggie Jordan Guild.
Norma was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Dick Northam, and her brother Earl Brown. She is survived by her daughter Diane Hilliard (Ham) of Memphis, TN, her son, Doug Northam (Dottie) of Franklin, TN, three grandchildren; David Hilliard of Memphis, TN , Sean Northam of Rockvale, TN, Amy Hillard (Joseph) of Rockvale, TN, and five great grandchildren; Kylie Hilliard, Jordan Northam, Brayden Hillard, Leah Northam, and Logan HIllard.
The family will receive friends from 3pm until 4:30 pm, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be sent to New Hope Christian Church or Johnson University.
