James proudly served his country for four years with the United States Navy. James will be remembered for being a man that could fix anything! He found a lot of joy spending time in his Shop and working on any type of outdoor project. His love for building things led him to a very successful career as a building superintendent for both Mid-American Construction and Grinder-Haizlip. He was an active member at Hickory Wythe Baptist Church.
James leaves his Wife Sherry Rowlett, children; Kim Blair (Justin) April Baker (Jason), Heather Jackson (Jeremy), brothers; Mike Rowlett (Judy), Tim Rowlett (Terri), Larry Rowlett (Rhonda), and 8 grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends on Friday, December 29th, from 1:00 pm up until service time at 2:00. Visitation and services will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. 3700 N. Germantown Road, Bartlett TN 38133
