Paula was born on September 7, 1946 in Memphis, Tennessee to the late Paul and Rebecca Simonton.
She received a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree from Memphis State University, now the University of Memphis. She used her education to teach for 30 years in the Memphis City School System.
Paula's legacy is carried on by her son, Jeffrey Scott (Lisa) Deason, her two grandchildren; Jake (Lauren) Deason and Brooke (Jordan) Wilkins; and three great-grandchildren Colt, Kylo and Ayla.
The greatest love in her life was her family.
Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 24 beginning at nine o'clock in the morning until funeral services begin at ten o'clock all in the Bartlett Room of Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, Tennessee 38133. Staff Celebrant Jonathan Matthews will lead the day's events.
The final resting place is the Prayer Wing Mausoleum at Memphis Memory Gardens, located at 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis.
