Rodney Clifford Smith, Sr., 79, of Memphis, passed away on Saturday, October 25, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Anna Smith, children, Karen Curry, Rodney Smith, Jr., Gail Pigue, David Smith, June Dodson, and Jerry Smith, 15 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Smith retired from the U.S. Navy as Master Chief. He was a member of Crosspointe Baptist Church. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, October 28 from 5-8pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. The funeral will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday at 2pm.
