

Sandra Lee Fowler, or Sandy, to all who knew her, was born on October 23, 1942, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin, passed away on November 21, 2025, at the age of 83. She was a resident of Lakeland, Tennessee. She was an only child to parents Emmett and June Bubb. Sandy graduated from Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, before attending two years of college at Tarkio College in Missouri, then graduating with a degree in Infant Nursing from Cradle School of Nursing, in Evanston, Illinois. She went on to receive a bachelor’s degree from Bethel University and did graduate work at the University of Memphis, with an endorsement in Special Education.
Sandy worked for Dr. Shea in Chicago, Illinois, trained in Audiology. She then worked at Tipton Academy, Arlington Developmental Center, Wilder Correctional Facility, and Peabody Residential Center, as a teacher and Principle
.
Sandy was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett and June Bubb, her husband of 55 years, Bobby E. Fowler, son, Jamie Rieck Fowler, and her daughter, Kimberly Wisdom. She is survived by her son, Jody Fowler (Shannon), and was affectionately known as Nanny to six granddaughters, Jordan Fiallo (Brian), Taylor Wisdom, Hannah Wisdom, Sydni Wisdom, Gabrielle Wisdom, Caiden Fowler Opperud (Evan), one grandson, Britt Fowler, seven great grandchildren, and her beloved Westie, Kozy.
The family will be having a graveside service at 2pm, on Friday, November 28, 2025, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Parkway.
