Sue Nodd

Alma Sue Brady Nodd, 84, passed away Sunday morning the 29th day of November 2015. She was born October 24, 1931 to Johnie and Ellen Brady in Lonoke, AR. At an early age, Sue gave her life to Christ at Steel Bridge Baptist Church, Lonoke, AR. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, parents, Johnie and Ellen Brady, her husband, Louis William Nodd, daughter Mary Ellen Nodd, sister Emogene Newton and grandson-in-law Tracy Clanton. She was a devoted employee of the former E.L. Bruce Company and retired from the City of Memphis Housing Authority in 2000. She is survived by one sister, Patsy (Patti) D Johnston (Lonnie) of Sherwood, AR, three grandchildren, Christie Woolrich (Paul) of Memphis, John Russom of Lexington, TN and Dean-na Clanton of Memphis, her great-grandchildren, John Jr, Steven, Nathan, Makalya, Trista and Elijah, nephews Roland Newton Jr of Greenbrier, AR, Terry Newton of Maumelle, AR and Timothy Newton of Sherwood, AR and friends of Ave Maria Retirement Home, Bartlett, TN. Visitation will be held at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd, Friday, December 4 from 10 – 11am with service immediately following. Interment will be held at Lonoke Cemetery, Lonoke, AR. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
