“Tommy” Stelling loved his family, friends and grand dogs dearly. He was a generous man who had a heart to help and serve others. Tommy enjoyed cooking and baking. His meals, cakes, and candy trays were always a treat. Tommy spent much of his later years enjoying his time outdoors in the sunshine—usually wearing his quilted flannel shirt, regardless of the temperature. Few things brought him more joy than fishing with his neighbor and dear friend, Murphy Farley. Tommy served faithfully in the U.S. Air Force. After being honorably discharged, he spent his entire working career with Ford Motor Company.
Mr. Stelling is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Loyce Hampton Stelling; son, Mark Stelling (Kellye); daughter, Kathie Swisher (Tripp); 6 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Thomas will be held Monday, July 24, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM, 3700 North Germantown Parkway, Bartlett, TN 38133.
