Timothy “Tim” Long, 51, of Lakeland, TN, owner and operator of Automotive Design passed away on December 29, 2017. Tim was a graduate of Elliston Baptist Academy and Nashville Auto Diesel College. He was an avid outdoorsman, a member of First Baptist Church Hickory Withe, a member of the Side Car Hogs BBQ cooking team and enjoyed watching Nascar and anything automotive. He was preceded in death by his father Vernon Long, his grandparents; Clyde Holley Sr., Florence Holley, Lannie Golden Long Sr., and Susie Long. Tim is survived by his mother Jan Holley Long, his siblings Leslie Long (Linda), Vickie Sutphin (Tommy), Cheryl Burnett, Russell Long (Beaver), and a host of loving family and friends. The family will receive friends from 5pm until 8 pm on Wednesday, January 3, 2018, with funeral services at 10am on Thursday, January 4, 2018, all at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown rd., Bartlett, TN 38133. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Southwoods Memphis, TN. Any memorial donations can be sent to the American Diabetes Association or First Baptist Church Hickory Withe, Children’s Building Fund.
