Virginia Faye Scott, passed away July 10, 2023 at the age of 79.Virginia was born April 21, 1944 in Memphis Tennessee to the late Clayton and Louise Mitchell. She is preceded in death by her husband Stephen Scott in 2005.
Virginia worked as a secretary for Memphis Light Gas and Water, retiring in 2012. She was a devoted member of Bartlett Baptist Church.
She leaves her daughter Carolyn Lapka (Jeremy), son Robert Scott, and brother Tommy Mitchell (Roxann), and grandsons Braeden and Greyson, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Sunday July 16, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens. A funeral Service will be held Monday July 17 at 11:00 am at Bartlett Baptist Church. A committal service will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens.
Virginia was truly loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.
