Rugby games were always more fun when Wade was there.   He always brought a warm spirit of conviviality.  We were better for knowing him.

Wade was my high school classmate.  I haven't seen him in years, but remember him as a kind, happy young man.  He always treated everyone with respect and was very likeable.  May he rest in peace.  Prayers for his sons.

I worked with your dad for a while at Methodist. Without a doubt, he was one of the most charismatic people I’ve ever met. It was one of his gifts, and he used it to make instant connections with anyone and everyone. I particularly enjoyed hearing stories about his upbringing—he had such reverence for his parents. I often got the feeling he wished he could go back there.

He also constantly talked about you guys and your endeavors. At times, I would think to myself, Can you give it a rest already? I get it—you love your boys. But I’d have to say, as a father of boys myself (younger at the time), his message was clear: be there, cheer them on, and brag on them every chance you get.

I wish you peace and fond memories in this phase.

Wade was a true family man, and our hearts go out to his three sons—Dallen, John, and Grant, each of whom he was so proud of and loved deeply. We met him through Grant, our son Tyler’s good friend, back when the boys were classmates at Germantown High. Wade was a terrific storyteller. A lot of the tales he unspooled over the many dinners we enjoyed together involved family, and some of the most entertaining yarns happened to feature the high jinks involved in raising three boys. We will miss the man—his generosity, humor, wit, and grace. But Wade’s legacy lives on in the fine young men who carry on the family name. And for that we are eternally grateful.

I am so sorry to hear about Wade's passing. Although I have not seen him in years, I still remember him as a smart, kind friend from high school. My deepest sympathies to your family!

I had the pleasure of meeting Wade while working at Germantown High School in the Fine Arts Department. It was immediately clear that he was a devoted and supportive father to his boys. I came to know Dallen through his active involvement in the Fine Arts program, and John became a good friend to my youngest son, often joining us for family dinners.

Wade had a gentle spirit and a warm, enduring smile that was truly infectious. His presence was a gift to those around him. I am deeply sorry for his passing—far too soon. I know how dearly he was loved by his sons, and my heart goes out to them during this difficult time.

My wife and I met Wade through our son's (Jacob Qualls) friendship with Wade's son, Grant.  Our first impression was sincere kindness and gentleness when we met Wade.  We are so grateful to have had the privilege of knowing him.  We are saddened about Wade passing but we have gteat joy knowing we will see him again when we reach the other side of this life.  God bless the family during this time and may your grieving be short and your joyful memories be eternal.

I grew up with Wade on Arrowhead Drive, We attended Sam Jones Church throughout our school days, and graduated from Cartersville High  School together. Our church youth choir and youth group were so close and will always be one of the highlights of my life and helped mold me into the person I am today. 
  I was a tea totaler and still to this day, I’ve never had a beer (wine maybe, but not beer).. I recall a party our senior year at the Detamore’s house in their basement. Wade’s dad allowed him to have beer. Wade thought it was hilarious to tell his parents that I drank several of them, which, of course.  I did not. They were stunned and so surprised. I don’t know if he ever hold them differently. But they never held it against me if he didn’t. I believe they knew what was going on. The boys always did like to tease me! 
Wade and I could always talk and we did on a few occasions in last few years. We talked outside of the reunion planning committee about some ideas for that night. He was so excited that he could wear his band jacket!! He is going to be missed so much! I am truly sorry for your loss. I know he loved you boys!!!! He left a legacy at CHS and I know he leaves a legacy through you boys!!!!

Cartersville High School graduating Ckass if 1975. We are celebrating our 50th reunion this fall, and Wade had already met with the planning committee via speaker phone. He was so excited about our plans and us all getting together. It just will not be the same without him. But we will honor his legacy to our school and our friendships. He was so smart yet so fun!!!! He will sorely missed but fondly remembered.

My sincere condolences to Wade's family and friends. Wade was a childhood friend and one of the most generous souls ever.  Our family Christmas parties were always fun - that photo of us at his house brings back lots of fond memories...
