William F. Gross, 79, of Bartlett, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2014 at his home. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and enjoyed camping and woodworking. Mr. Gross, the husband of Alice Gross for nearly 58 years is also survived by two daughters, Jodine Gross of Bartlett, Pamie (Gary) Sanders of Olive Branch, MS; two sons, Ronnie (Karen) Gross of Cordova and Donnie (Gwen) Gross of Lakeland; two brothers, Millard Gross, Jr. of Memphis and Franklin Gross of Victoria, MS; seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Millard and Thelma Gross and two brothers, Milton and Everett Gross. The family will receive friends this evening, Tuesday, February 18 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. A celebration of Mr. Gross’ life will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 19 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
