William A. Holder, 75, of Germantown, passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2011. He was a member of the Germantown Church of Christ, retired manager of J.W. Moore Printing for 35 years, was an avid woodworker, enjoyed gardening and spending time with his grandchildren. Mr. Holder, the widower of Janie Marie Holder, leaves his daughter, Sheila (DeWayne) Pettie of Germantown; son, Andy (Beth) Holder of Murfreesboro, TN; sister, Bobbie Jean Smith of Mt. Joliet, TN; and his grandchildren, Hunter and Taylor Pettie and Andrew, Matthew and Rachel Holder. He was preceded in death by 6 siblings. The family will receive friends this evening, Friday, May 20 from 5-8 p.m. at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m., Saturday, May 21 at the funeral home with interment to follow in Memorial Gardens, formerly Memory Hill Gardens.
