William McKinley "Bill" Slayton

William McKinley “Bill” Slayton, 88, of Bartlett, TN, born and raised in Crockett County, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2018. He was a retired welder and maintenance tech for Great Dane Trailers. He was also a member of Ellendale Baptist Church and enjoyed being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years Joyce Powell Slayton, their daughter Linda Jones (Matt), grandchildren, Daniel Jones (Erica), Rachel Cove (Tim), and great grandchildren, Peter Jones, Cameron Jones, Violet Jones, and William Jones.

The family will receive friends from 1pm until service time at 2pm, on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown PKY, Bartlett, TN 38133.

The family requests any memorials be sent to Ellendale Baptist Church or Ave Maria Adult Day Care.
