Wynelle Hargett Staggs

Wynelle Hargett Staggs, 82, of Memphis, passed away at her home on Saturday, November 12, 2016. She was born on November 11, 1934 in Fulton, Mississippi, to James Everett and Jewel Irene (Moore) Hargett. Being from Itawamba County, she attended Tremont High School. After spending her working years at Universal Car Loading, Baddour Wholesale, Co. and U.S. Xpress, she enjoyed retirement and took care of her husband. Wynelle was the widow of Hugh Staggs and is survived by a stepson, Barry Staggs of Covina, CA; nieces and nephews, Joe and Greg Hargett, Stan, Ken and Tim Hargett, Jennifer Hargett Beam, David Webb, Teresa Roberts Johnson and Steve and Robin Roberts; and numerous great nieces and nephews. Along with her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Juanita Webb, Nadine Roberts, Winfred, Joe and Stanley Hargett and a nephew, Danny Webb. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, November16 at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N. Germantown Rd., with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Heart association, American Stroke Association or the American Diabetes Association.
