Charles "Mike" M. Bishop

He was born Oct. 2, 1950 to Corella Royer Sedekum. He married Sherry Willmon Nov. 7, 1970 in Creve Coeur. She passed away Feb. 19, 2006 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Florence Bohm, two uncles: Bill and Charles Royer, and several cousins.

Survivors include his mother of Peoria, one son, Charles M. (Gwen) Bishop, Jr of Texas, one daughter, Michelle Bishop of Peoria, five grandchildren: Mike, Savannah, Aaron, Skylar, Sommer, two brothers: Bob (Darlene) Bishop of Bartonville, Steve (Kathy) Klicker of East Peoria, two sisters: Cheryl (Gale) Voight of East Peoria, Rosemary (Dan Beelman) Gray of Bartonville, two aunts: Mabel and Rose Royer both of Peoria, and several cousins.

Mike’s light of his life was spending time with his grandchildren. Mike’s sense of humor was that of no other. He always found a way to make you smile. Mike enjoyed old cars, old music, and hanging out with his cousin Rick Royer.

Visitation will be Friday April 13, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Funeral services will follow the visitation.

Cremation rites will be accorded following the services.

Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family.
