He was born on August 16, 1959, in Peoria, a son of Gerald F. and Judy A. (Bushong) Herring.
Cliff is survived by his mother and stepfather, Judy A. (Jack) Sawyer of Mapleton; one daughter, Billie (Clint) Tibbs of Sparland; three grandchildren, Taylor, Madilynn and Peyton Tibbs, all of Sparland; one sister, Theresa (Brad) Johanson of Hanna City; one step-brother, Judd Sawyer of Oregon; and two nephews, Adam Johanson of Hanna City and Ben Johanson of North Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Cliff was very kind-hearted and extremely talented in architectural drawing and loved to build and play electric guitars.
Cliff's funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Steve Weber will officiate. His visitation will be from 12 noon to 1 p.m., also on Wednesday at the funeral chapel. Interment will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
