David Salter

David was born on June 5, 1946 in Peoria, IL to Donald and Wilma (Fryman) Salter. He married Sandy Weaver on November 16, 1968 in Peoria.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, one son, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, his brother and his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, and one sister.

David served in the United States Navy from 1964 to 1968. He retired from Rohn Manufacturing where he worked for over 29 years. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed fishing and hanging out around the campfire.

Cremation rites will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 4pm at the Lord’s Table Church of God in Bartonville. Inurnment will be at Maple Ridge Cemetery at 10am on Saturday, March 28, 2015. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
