

He was born Feb. 6, 1931 in Ottawa, IL to Benjamin and Dorothy (Eggleston) Jaegle. He married Irena “Rena” Pohlson on Aug. 1, 1952 in Peoria. She passed away March 24, 2018 in Peoria. He is also preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include six children: Randy (Sheila) Jaegle of Kingston Mines, IL, Jody (Gary) Finley of Peoria, Russ (Sue) Jaegle of South Carolina, Ron (Lisa) Jaegle of Peoria, Kevin Jaegle of Peoria, and Kelly (Greg) Shinkle of Georgia. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and six great-great-grandchildren.
Dean was in the Naval Reserves for four years and during that time worked at Caterpillar, Inc. Following that he was a Manager at Edwards Shoe Store in Peoria for 42 years retiring Feb. 29, 1996. He also was a driver for Ray Dennison Chevrolet for 20 years. He was a member of Faith Missionary Church in Peoria.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of Dean’s life will be Monday, April 4, 2022 from 4 to 6 p.m. with services at 6 p.m. at Faith Missionary Church in Peoria. Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery at a later date.
