Dianna Lynn Diefendorf
12 August, 1959 – 17 November, 2021
Dianna Lynn Diefendorf, age 62, passed away at 4:35 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home in Hanna City, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.
She was born to James “Jim” and Joyce (Montee) Humphrey on August 12, 1959 in Peoria. She married David Diefendorf on July 28, 1982 in Peoria.
Dianna is survived by her devoted husband David of Hanna City, daughter, Amy (Kenta) Joki of Fishers, Indiana, son, Wes (Megan) Diefendorf of Decatur, mother, Joyce Humphrey of Hanna City, grandchildren, Alexis, Aneesa, Amaya, Anna, Addison, Audrey, and Cale, and sisters, Brenda Pluskwik and Linda (Pat) Prescott, both of Hanna City.
She was preceded in death by her beloved father Jim and two brothers, Jerry and Jimmy.
Dianna was a licensed cosmetologist and after many years in the field she founded Illinois Academy of Nail Technology, while serving on the Board of Directors for the Illinois Association of Cosmetology Schools. Her passion in more recent years was practicing yoga, becoming a certified instructor. She was also a licensed real estate agent and skilled at creating beautiful stained-glass windows. Dianna turned every home into a masterpiece by designing floor plans and applying her interior design vision. She was an avid reader and loved scouring for great finds at antique shops.
Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dianna loved the beach and winters with friends in Florida. After poking fun at the game of golf for so long, she eventually became a lover of the sport. She had an adventurous spirit and for many years would ride on the Harley with her husband and friends through the Rocky Mountains. Every person she met was captivated by her smile, beauty and youthfulness. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside. Her loved ones couldn’t ask for a more loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister or friend.
Cremation rites have been accorded and a Celebration of Dianna’s Life will be held from 12:00-2:00 PM on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel.
