Gerald Potter

Jerry was born May 31, 1932 in Peoria, Illinois the son of Leland and Edna Roberts Potter. He married Shirley Rodgers on May 28, 1955 in Peoria.

Surviving is his wife of 56 year; three daughters, Susan E. Easton of Milwaukee, WI, Cathy (Woody) Banko-Dees of Bartonville, Janet L. ( Larry)Gibson of Mount Holly, NC; two sons, Gerald L (Laura) Potter Jr. of Germantown Hills, John (Johanna) Potter of Bartonville; one brother, Carl (Vicki) Goodwin of Pekin; one sister, Carol (Stan) Batton of Minnesota; 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; one aunt, Leah Harriett Faletti of Morton and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Jerry was a retired transportation worker from Wabco.

He was in several bowling leagues and played in the Old Timer’s Baseball league at Alpha Park.

Jerry was a member of St. Ann’s Catholic Church.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Father Terry Cassidy will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday evening at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
