She was born February 2, 1926, in Pekin, to George J. Bishop, Sr. and Louise (Stark) Bishop.
Helen was retired from the Peoria County Courthouse where she served as a Clerk for 20 years. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed attending productions at the Corn Stock Theater, and watching movies. Her greatest joy was found amongst her family, who will remember her as a devoted grandma who loved going to her grandchildren, and great grandchildren’s activities, and family gatherings.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents; eldest son, Steve Piscaglia; sisters, Donna Jean Austin, and Dorothy Talbott; brother, George Bishop, Jr.; and former husband and father of her sons, Fred Piscaglia.
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Barb) Piscaglia, and Mark (Gail) Piscaglia; grandchildren, April (AJ) Bimrose, Scott (Chelsey) Piscaglia, Amanda (Scott) Magnuson, and Tyler (Sherry) Piscaglia; great-grandchildren, Will, Bella, Presley, Ainsley, Kenzie, Dean, Luke, Liam, and Millie.
Visitation will be held from 4-6PM, Friday, May 26, 2023, at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Memorial services will follow at 6PM. Memorials may be made to St. Jude, or OSF Children’s Hospital of Illinois. Words of comfort may be shared at www.davison-fulton-bartonvillechapel.com.
