

John was preceded in death by his parents John Sr. and Evelyn Segler, his son Jammie Segler, and his granddaughter Hailey Benassi.
He is survived by his wife Judith Segler, as well as his children Scott(Tammy) Segler, Todd Segler, Stacey Segler(Jen Bond), Brian(Kim) Benassi, David(Janice) Benassi, and Darren Benassi. Also survived by his brother Jerry(Janet) Segler. He also leaves behind to cherish his memory his grandchildren, Brandon(Michelle) Segler, Krystale(Francisco) Lorenzo, Michael(Jensin) Segler, Todd Segler Jr, Amanda Woodward, Jacob Segler, Joshua Grubb, Jared Benassi, Brianna Benassi, Bo Benassi, Bella Benassi and Brogan Benassi. As well as his great grandchildren Addison Lorenzo, Greigh Lorenzo, Jase Segler, Ty Segler, Lane Segler, Anniston Segler Colter Segler, Jaymi Woodward, Avery Woodward, Baylee Marrs, and Brody Marrs.
John was a retiree from Caterpillar after 35 years. He attended the First Christian Church of Pekin. His happy place was his cabin in Longville Minnesota, fishing on Kego Lake, spending time with his grandchildren at ball games. He also loved rabbit hunting with his brother and spending long hours hunting in his deer stand with his family. His lifelong best friends were Judd Schwindenhammer and Art Lindsey.

Visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel on Friday March 6th at 10am, Service to follow at 11am, the following committal will be at St John Lutheran Cemetery
