Judith Sue Rohde

Judith (Judy) Sue Rohde, age 75, of East Peoria, passed away on Monday, October 10, 2022 at River Crossing. She was born on January 19, 1947 to Irvin and Evelyn Alvey in Bloomington, IL. She married Donald Rohde on August 18, 1967; he preceded her in death on June 24, 2019.

She is survived by her children, Michelle (Jim) Hawkins and Mike (Angela) Rohde; ten grandchildren, Cameron, Allyson, Ashleigh, Jaycee, Natalee, Rachel, Jacob, Annette, Audrey, and Mikaela; one brother, Jerry Alvey; two step-sisters, Linda Ernst and Marianne McShane-Suelter; one step-brother, Larry Schultz.

She was also preceded in death by her father (Irvin), mother (Evelyn), step-mother (Nellie Mae) and sister, Janice Nevins.

Judy’s passion was teaching, whether Bible studies, piano lessons or tutoring, she enjoyed it all. She was an avid game player, especially with her grandchildren, although she had a very competitive streak and hated losing. She loved to sing with Don, as they would hit their harmonies on cue. Above all else, Jesus was everything to her and she longed for the day she would run to him completely free.

A celebration of life for Judy will occur on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, 1203 West Garfield Avenue in Bartonville.
