He was born March 22, 1940 in Peoria to Frederick Jacob and Josephine Mary (Theobald) Grebner. He married Judith Ann Meinders on December 2, 1961 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Peoria. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2013.
He is survived by one son, Terry (Danine) Grebner, four daughters: Tina Grebner, Tonia (Steve) Bale, Tracy (Bill) Turney, and Tierney Christerson; five grandchildren, Hannah (Matthew) McLoughlin, Chelsea Turney, Johnathan Turney, Grace Christerson, and Erik Christerson; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brother, Walter Grebner.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one daughter, Threasa Kay Grebner; sister, Mary Lou Chism; and brothers, Herman Grebner, and Harley Grebner.
Marion was a hard working lifelong farmer. He retired from Emery Worldwide in 2005, and was formerly employed by Pabst. He was a member of St. Ann Catholic Church in Peoria. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and cheering on the St. Louis Cardinals. He served in the Air National Guard, and was proud to have been a part of the Greater Peoria Honor Flight in 2019.
A funeral mass will be Thursday, September 1, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Ann Catholic Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services at church. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
