He was born on January 6, 1958 in Peoria to James R. and Judith (Walker) Murray.
Mike is survived by his mother, Judith “Judie” Murray of Peoria; brother, Steven (Janet) Murray of Lacon; aunts, Jan Becker-Riebel, Elaine Walker and Barbara ( Joe) Sills; uncles, Duane Walker and John Murray; and cousins, Tony, Jimmy, Lynn, Doug, Lori and Kimberly.
He was preceded in death by his father and cousins, Duane Jr., Randy, Scott and Brad.
Mike attended East Peoria High School. He was a U.S. Army Veteran. Mike last worked driving a truck delivering the U.S Mail to St. Louis and back to Peoria.
He enjoyed woodworking, metal crafting, and restoring old motor cycles.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Pastor Lisa Dietrich will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the funeral home.
Burial will follow with military honors at Lutheran Cemetery.
