Mildred L. Meinders

Mildred L. Meinders, 87, of Bartonville, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at the Belwood Nursing Home. She was born April 11, 1925 in Lacon, Illinois. She was the daughter of Everett and Cecil (Finkenbinder) Turner. She married Henry Meinders on October 31, 1942 in East Peoria, Illinois, He preceded her in death on September 3, 1995 in Peoria, Illinois.

Mildred is survived by five children, Donald Meinders of Mapleton, Illinois, Larry (Pat) Meinders of Palm Beach, Florida, Jack Meinders of Phoenix, Arizona, Paul Meinders of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Barb Vasquez of Texas. She has 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. MIldred has one brother, Harry Turner in Chillicothe, Illinois and many neices and nephews surviving. She was preceded in death by her husband and one brother.

Mildred had worked in the kitchen at the Limestone Community High School for many years. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church of Bartonville.

Graveside Services will be Monday, August 6, 2012 at 2:00 PM at the St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Philip Lund will officiate. Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
