

She was born Nov. 12, 1927 in Peoria to Eli and Nina (Hill) Julien. She married John Whitfield, Sr. Nov. 12, 1947 in Peoria. He passed away April 13, 1999 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by one son-in-law, Harry Michael Passmore, one great-grandson, Trenton Whitfield, five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include three daughters: Vicki Passmore of Lewistown, Johanna (John) Potter of Bartonville, Tina (Larry) Kuhel of Groveland, two sons: Ralph (Sharon) Whitfield of Farmington, John (Linda) Whitfield, Jr. of Peoria, twenty three grandchildren, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, three sisters: Norma Paquet of Peoria, Leeda (Melvin) Daxenbichler of Bartonville, Jenny (William) Whitby of Hanna City, one brother-in-law, William (Laura) Whitfield of Peoria, and her playful pooch, Zoe.
Helen worked at Baskin Robbins in Morton for five years during the early 1980’s. She was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed playing Bingo with her good friend Jean, going to the Paradice, and listening to music-especially Big Band music. She also enjoyed playing cards with her sisters and spending time with her children and ever growing family including Zoe.
Funeral services will be Monday Aug. 15, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
