Peter Henry Krus

Peter Henry Krus, 88, of Bartonville, Illinois, passed away Monday, 2-6-2017 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born on June 27, 1928 in Peoria, Illinois to Klaus and Emma (Stuaan) Krus. He married I. Joanne Greenslate on June 26, 1949 in Peoria. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2002 in Harlingen, Texas. He was also preceded in death by five brothers, Ellis, Albert, Clarence, Bill and Fred Krus.

He is survived by one son, Richard (Nadine) Krus of Bartonville; three grandchildren, Haley Jean Krus, Laurie Beth Krus and Christopher Allen Krus; two great grandchildren, Jayden Allen and Camden Antonio Krus; one sister, Emma (Ed) Riekena of Bellevue, Illinois.

Peter worked over 32 years at Keystone Steel and Wire Company last working in 1978. He enjoyed collecting antique glassware.

Visitation will be Friday, February 10, 2017, from 5 PM until 7 PM at the Davison Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Cremation rites will follow the visitation. Inurnment will be in the Resurrection Mausoleum in Peoria. Memorials may be made to Second Wind that assists families that have transplants.
