

He was born March 11, 1923 in Limestone Township to Peter and Hiska (Heuerman) Grafelman. He married Edna Belk. She preceded him in death. He later married Donna Traynor. She preceded him in death. He was also preceded by his parents, and infant sister, Gretchen.
Surviving are his 3 children, Judy (Larry) Layman, Linda Bare, and Gary Grafelman all of Hanna City; 6 grandchildren, Kandice (Phil) Guppy, Shanon (Jason) Tindall, Sarah (Patrick) Cox, Amanda (Michael) Gawelek, Matthew Bare, Mackenzie Layman; 12 great-grandchildren, and the love of his life, Betty Kennedy of Normal.
Raymond farmed in the Hanna City area his whole life. He worked as a security guard at Pabst Brewing Co. in Peoria Heights for almost 30 years before retiring.
The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staff at Richard Owens Hospice Home and to Steve and Linda Buttice for their love and support.
Raymond was a gentle man, a God fearing supportive father and a dedicated friend.
Raymond was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville where Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 17, 2014 with Rev. Michael Jones officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, with further visitation from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday prior to services at the church. Burial will be at St. John Lutheran Cemetery in Bartonville.
