Roberta Elaine Danzer was born October 15th, 1940 to Robert & Miriam Fouts of Peoria. She went to be with the Lord at 5:28 am on Tuesday March 1st, 2022. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents and eldest son, Jeffery.
She is survived by her husband, George Danzer Jr. of Bartonville, and would have celebrated 62 years of marriage on April 2nd. Also surviving are her son Gregory Danzer (Tracy) of Princeville, and two grandchildren, Jacqueline and Joshua Danzer. Roberta was loved by all that knew her and was one of the sweetest and most joy-filled people. Her sense of humor was unmatched, as was the love she had for all of her family and friends across the country.
She was a 1958 graduate of Limestone Community High School in Bartonville. After school, Roberta was a secretary with the State of Illinois, Caterpillar, Bradley University and for a real estate appraisal service in Peoria. Roberta was a lifelong member of Peoria First Assembly of God Church where she had several roles over the years; Sunday School teacher, organ and piano player, choir member, and singer in various ensembles. She was a prayer warrior and a wonderful spiritual leader to many. She loved traveling the world with her husband and friends, cooking & baking, music, socializing, and Green Bay Packers football. Roberta also enjoyed golf and bowling and was a past board member of the Greater Peoria Bowling Association.
Visitation will be Saturday, March 5th from 10:00 to 11:00 and a Celebration of Life Service will follow at Peoria First Assembly of God Church in Peoria, IL. She will be buried at Swan Lake Memory Garden in Peoria, IL. Memorials can be made to Peoria First Assembly of God. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is entrusted with arrangements.
