He was born on February 13, 1957 in Peoria, IL to Antonne "Red" "Tony" and Margaret (Teufel) Schwindenhammer Sr. He married Ann Shaw on November 1, 1975 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are their four children, Roni Ann (Josh) Oleson of Shabbona, IL, Jennifer Marie (Bill) Walker of Washington, IL, Joshua Scott (Anna) Schwindenhammer of Appleton, WI, and Jami Beth Schwindenhammer of Bartonville; 12 grandchildren, Gage, Colton, Ella Oleson, Taylor and Tony Walker, Rebekah, Madelyn, Gretchen, Amelia, Abram, Katherine and Lucas Schwindenhammer; four brothers, A.J. Mike Schwindenhammer Jr of Peoria, Dale A. (Kathy) Schwindenhammer of Dunlap, Dean B. and Randal A. (Kathie) Schwindenhammer both of Bartonville; and a cousin, Shirley Dornberger, who was like a sister to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Ron worked as a Machinist for Armitage Machine Company Inc. for over 49 years before retiring in 2023. He was a member of Bethel Lutheran Church Bartonville and the Bartonville VFW Post 3883. Ron enjoyed working in the yard, splitting wood, playing softball, hanging out with his puppies, listening to country music, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be at 2 pm on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 with visitation from noon until the start of the service at Bethel Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
