She was born August 22, 1935 in Pekin to Ralph and Margaret (Smith) Maxwell. She married Walter “Pete” Williams on September 17, 1955 in Bartonville. He survives along with one son, Robert Williams of Bartonville, one daughter, Dawn (Harold) Clayberg of Washington, three grandchildren and seven great- grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Ruth was a lifelong member of Bartonville Christian Church and a member of the Bartonville VFW Post 3883 Ladies Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Rev. Jack Thompson will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services.
Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
