Valerie Marie Krause

Bartonville – Valerie Marie Krause, 80, of Pekin, formerly of Bartonville, passed away at 11:50 p.m. Thursday, November 11, 2021 at UnityPoint Health - Pekin. She was born on August 2, 1941 in Peoria, a daughter of William V. and Helen (Butsch) Bart, Sr. She married Rolland G. Krause in Peoria on October 6, 1962. He preceded her in death on September 18, 2002 in Bartonville.

Valerie was also preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Willam Bart, Jr.; her sister, Mary Mitchell; her infant son, Todd Krause; and her beloved dog, Gizzy.

She is survived by her loving companion Scott Pflederer of Pekin; two children, Tammie (Jeff) Sharp of Princeville and Matthew (Dee Dee) Krause of Pekin; eight grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Sharp of Princeville, Michael and Kristina Krause of Pekin, Cody and Cameron Copus of Pekin, Dayinera Heitman of Arkansas and Lance Heitman of Peoria; and eight great-grandchildren.

Valerie last worked as a caregiver for DORS of Illinois until 2005.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville.

Valerie's memorial service will be at 2:00 pm Sunday, November 28, 2021 at St. John Lutheran Church in Bartonville. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Private inurnment will take place at St. John Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church – Memorial Fund.
