Viola Catherine Kauzlarich

Viola was born on February 10, 1928 in Peoria, IL to Dewey D. and Neva W. (Willis) Chaney. She married Frankie L. Kauzlarich on September 12, 1950 in Richmond, IN. He preceded her in death on April 2, 1996. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark; her parents; four brothers; and five sisters.

Viola is survived by two sisters, Dorothy Turner of Roanoke, IL and Joyce Johnson of Bellvue, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

Viola was a Dental Hygienist for Drs. P.S. Neuwerth and Michael Zichterman, retiring in 1987. She was a member of St. Mark’s Catholic Church, Timberlake Country Club, Peoria Women’s Nine Hole Golf League and she was a past officer for the Peoria Area, State, and National Dental Hygiene Associations.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2014 at 1pm at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and a rosary service will be at 11:30am. Burial will be Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the Mark Allen Kauzlarich Memorial Scholarship or Vitas Hospice.
