William L. "Bill" Sandlin

Born November 22, 1937 in Peoria, IL to William A. and Lois Cottingham Sandlin, he married Mary Schmeilski in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his daughter: Terrie of Peoria, IL.; his five sons: Thomas L. (Vicki) of Peoria, IL., Michael A.(Susan) of Trivoli, IL., Timothy W. (Lisa) of Pekin, IL., Troy A. (Melissa) of Washington, IL., David E.(Dawn) of Peoria Heights, IL.; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Robert (Corrine) of Kankakee, IL., Clifford (Karen) of Stuart, FL.; and one sister; Carol J. (Kelly) Lancaster of Norwood, IL.

He was preceded in death by two brothers: William A. Jr. and Douglas Sandlin; and his parents.

Bill was the owner and operator of S&S License and Title Service for many years, retiring in 2003.

A visitation will be held Friday, March 25, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel in Bartonville, IL. A funeral service will be on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Steve Weber will officiate.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the March of Dimes.
