Alice Mize Lewis

She was born March 29, 1928 in Patrick County, Virginia to the late Doc Mize and Lucy Purdy Mize. She was preceded in death by her husband, Reverend Roy Lewis, sisters, Madgie Moore, Frances George, Ella Mae Gilley, and brothers, John Lee Mize, Frank Burton Mize, James Arthur Mize, and Aubrey Taylor Mize. She was a member of the Preston Pentecostal Holiness Church.

She is survived by one sister, Louise Rea of Martinsville, sons, Freddie James Lewis and wife Dianna of Martinsville, Bobby Ray Lewis and wife Barbara of Bassett, Larry Allen Lewis and wife Shirley of Patrick Springs, Donald Eugene Lewis and wife Marilyn of Bassett, Bernard Earl Lewis of Collinsville, along with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Collins Chapel.

The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., on Monday, July 20, 2015 at Collins Chapel, Bassett, VA. Director Kelly Ratcliff is officiating. Interment will follow at Henry Memorial Park, Bassett, VA.
