Alma Griffin Walker

Alma Griffin Walker, age 89 of Martinsville, Virginia passed away on Sunday, August 30, 2020 while in Mulberry Nursing and Rehab. Alma was born on April 24, 1931 in Salisbury, North Carolina to the late Elmer Griffin and the late Ellen White Griffin. She was preceded in death by her husband; Phillip Duggar, one sister; Ruth Griffin Martinez, six brothers; Elbert, Rodger, Harry, James, Lonnie and Max Griffin. Alma was a great singer and guitar player. Playing was her passion. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide for many years. She was a spirited lady and never met a stranger. She loved her dogs, Tina and Lil Star like her children. She loved to travel and explore life. Our aunt will be missed by all of us and just know “That you were always loved”. Alma is survived by three nieces; Norma Griffin Purcell, Ellen Pulliam, Rosemary Fugate and a host of other relatives. A Graveside Service will be conducted at 11:00 AM Thursday, September 3, 2020 in the Stella Christian Church Cemetery, 1535 Stella Church Road, Patrick Springs,Virginia.
