

Annie Mae Mitchell Lackey, 90, of Collinsville, went home to be with her Lord Friday, April 17, 2015. She was born in Henry County on March 19, 1925, to the late George E. Mitchell, Sr. and Armain Merriman Mitchell. She was retired after thirty years with Bassett Furniture Industries as a secretary. She was a faithful charter member of Collinsville Church of The Brethren and retired as the church treasurer after thirty nine years. She was also a life time member of the choir.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James McCray Lackey.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Ann Martin and husband Bobby and Janice L. Critz Scott and husband Randy both of Martinsville and two sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy M. and Sandra Lackey of Collinsville and Larry Dean and Shelia Lackey of Concord, NC, one brother, George E. Mitchell of Collinsville, eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends 6-8:00 P.M. Sunday April 19, 2015 at the Collinsville Church of The Brethren
A Celebration of Life Services which will be held 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 20, 2015 at the Collinsville Church of Brethren with Pastor Roy McVey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
In lieu of flowers memorial are requested to be made to the Collinsville Church of The Brethren 553 John Redd Blvd, Collinsville, VA 24078.
