Betty W Turner

Betty W. Turner, age 82, of 1785 Providence Church Rd., Henry, died Monday, June 17, 2013, at her residence. Born in Franklin County, November 25, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Thaddeus Williams and Lena Dillon Williams. She was also preceded in death by her husband, James Turner, and a brother, Raymond Williams.

She retired from DuPont after many years of service and was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Lois Turner of the home, two sons, Vernon Turner and David Turner both of Henry, a brother, Robert Lee Williams of Henry, 14 grandchildren, Ray and Jennifer Turner, Jamie Crews, Nathan Turner, Michael Turner, Sam Turner, Kyrie LaBounty, Bradley Turner, Savannah Turner, Anthony Turner, William Turner, Zachary Turner, Traci Turner, Caden Turner, and 12 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, June 22, 2013, at Oak Level Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilbern Meeks officiating. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, from 6 to 8 P.M. at Collins Funeral Home in Bassett, and at other times at the home of her son, David, 2743 Carver Lee Rd., Henry.
