Doris S. Harmon

Mrs. Harmon was born on April 11, 1932 in Carroll County, VA to Shade Harless Sutphin and Iva Lindsey Sutphin. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Page Lee Harmon, two brothers, Donald Gene Sutphin and Shade Harless Sutphin, Jr. She retired from Dupont after 38 years of employment. She was a member of Landmark Baptist Church.

Mrs. Harmon is survived by one daughter, Carol Harmon Stone (Ronnie), one son, Ronald Wayne Harmon (Shelia), two sisters, Nita Turman and Katherine Huff (Darrell), five grandchildren, Melissa Harmon Smith (Rusty), Matthew Page Harmon (Jessica), Angie Stone Wood (Mike), Westley Joe Stone (Mandy) and Elizabeth Cheyenne Stone, eight great grandchildren, Russell Matt Smith, Jr., Dustin Wayne Smith, Lucas Matthew Harmon, Cooper Daniel Harmon, Joshua Tyler Jacobson (Valery), Lauren Wood Trent(Cody), Evan Michael Wood and Hailey Paige Stone, one great-great granddaughter, Avery Stephanie Trent.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. Dr. J.D. Harmon and the Rev. Doug Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
