IN THE CARE OF

Kathleen Elliott Boggs, age 95, of Bassett, Virginia passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Kathleen was born June 27, 1926.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.collinsmckeestonebassett.com for the Boggs family.
August 21, 2021 will not be noted as a sad day, yet one of quiet rejoicing in the answered prayers of Grandma's wish to 'Go Home'.
Watching the birds and squirrels from her chair by the window was a source of great entertainment to her. She watched nature shows, cartoons and devoured countless library books. The Pandemic that we all worried about did not affect her lifestyle, for she chose to live her life very quietly and simply.
She will be remembered for her love of flowers, kitty cats, bird watching, endless cups of coffee and homemade chocolate chip cookies.
This week I asked Grandma what makes her happy everyday. Without a moment's hesitation, her face lit up with a huge smile as she answered, 'My Family'.
We have honored her wishes to keep her out of hospital and nursing home and letting her pass on surrounded by all that she loved most.
Please join us for story telling, coffee and dessert August 24th, from 11:00am to 1:00pm
in the basement of Sanville Assembly of God Church, 40 Joyce Rd, Bassett.
lf you wish to make a monetary donation in Kit's memory, her favorite charities were:
Sanville Assmbly of God, check notation to Ghana Ministry; or your local SPCA.
Perennial flowers are welcome and will be planted on her homestead. Her favorite color was red, but she also liked purple.
May we be granted the gift to live the life we choose for ourselves.
