

Marshall “Buster” Sherwood Carroll Jr., 50, of Rocky Mount passed away on June 15, 2016 at his residence. He was born in Martinsville on November 2, 1965 to the late Marshall Sherwood Carroll Sr. and Betty Lou Dobbs.
Buster is survived by his wife, Ronda Doss Carroll; daughters, Tiffany Gordon and her husband John Gordon IV, Alexus Carroll; son, John P. Weaver; granddaughter Abigail “Bree” Gordon; sisters, Hollie Martin and husband Mike, Vickie Morris and husband Darrell; brothers, Michael Dobbs, Jesse Carroll and Brandon Carroll and wife Cheryl; step-mother, Sherry Carroll; father-in-law and best friend Jack Doss; numerous nieces and nephews including special niece, Ricki Lynn Mullins; also his Wednesday night group of special friends.
Buster was the owner of Buster’s Auto Repair and was a well-known race car driver and past champion at the Franklin County Speedway. He was a very dedicated member of and Junior Governor of the Bassett Moose Lodge.
The memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home with Pastor and Uncle, Donnie Young officiating.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at Collins Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, college fund memorials may be made for Alexus Carroll to Bassett Moose Lodge, 62 Spring Garden Lane, Bassett, VA 24055.
