Ms. Rachel Victoria Marsh

Mrs. Rachel Snead Marsh, age 87 of the Henry and Oak Level Communities passed away on October 24, 2018. Mrs. Marsh was born on December 15, 1930 in Henry County, VA, a daughter of the late Issac Jefferson Snead and the late Sara Ruth Thomas Snead. She was married to Floyd Earl Marsh, Jr., who predeceased her. She loved life; including her love for animals, as well as enjoying the outdoors and the beach. She was a member of Pocahontas Baptist Church in Bassett, VA. Mrs. Marsh is survived by one son, Steven Marsh, two brothers, Henry Grady Snead and Russell Morris Snead. In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two sisters, Roduskia Snead Craig and Evelyn Snead Kirby; and two brothers, Hosea Lester Snead, Sr. and John Harvey Snead, Sr. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Monday, October 29, 2018 at Pocahontas Baptist Church with the Rev. Susan Spangenberg officiating. Entombment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorials to be made to the charity of your choice.
